Equus is the story of Alan Strang Radcliffe, a mild-mannered stable boy who blinds six horses in his care. As psychiatrist Martin Dysart Griffiths unravels the mysteries behind the boy's savage act, Dysart realizes he must confront his own demons. Mulgrew plays the compassionate public official who begs Dysart to take on the boy's case.
